Faisal MusicBio in EnglishFaisal Salimi was born on Oct. 24, 1990 in Lausanne. He was started playing Tabla since the age of 4 by his father. In July 1995, he gave his first concert in Germany and then Television concerts in London (UK), Switzerland, and then across Europe. In summer 2006 Faisal went to India for his undergraduate Tabla among the greatest masters: Ashok Pandit Moitro, Ustad Raifuddin Sabri and Mohit Lal.
Thereafter, he was pleased to meet other musicians as Indians Gulfam Sabri, Sri Fateh Singh, Bikram Ghosh: the son of one of the greatest players of Tabla Pandit Shankar Ghosh, Ustad Zakir Hussain and Pandit Bhavani Shankar.
In recent years, he has performed with musicians like Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan (Pakistan), Ustad Mawash (Afghan singer), Ustad Khalil Ghudaz (sitariste Afghanistan), and Khaled Arman Ossain Arman (Ensemble Kabul) and Ustad Asif ( one of the greatest players of Tabla in Afghanistan), which has benefited from Faisal education.
He was able to record his first CD in India with the accompaniment of a player Sarangi, Murad Ali.
He also played with other artists Afghan, Indian, Swiss and Iranian encors. Most of his concerts were given with the musical group <<Jeune Kaboul>> founded in 1997 by his father Qasem Salimi.
